It’s so critical to have the right frame of mind and know where you’re going in your business in order to drive profitability and hit your numbers. When you know your bigger goals, you have targets to hit. In this module, you’ll complete a series of exercises to prepare you for the next 6 weeks. We’ll work on some simple shifts you can do to ensure you have a growth mindset and set specific targeted goals for short and long term!
Module 2: The Bank Accounts
We’re getting down to business in this module. One of the core components of the Profit First Framework includes using multiple bank accounts. In this module, we talk all about the purposes of the different accounts, how to talk to your banker, and how to find a bank that’s the right fit for you. The wrong bank can cost you BIG money, and if your bank isn’t, or won’t become Profit First friendly for you, don’t worry! I have a list of some of my favorite banks (in every area!) to help you with this critical step!
Module 3: Your Numbers
This is the part most entrepreneurs fear, but we’re going to dive deep into your numbers in this module and face your fears head on. I promise, looking at your numbers will relieve stress, not cause more of it! In this module I walk you through a sample assessment and get you started step by step so you know what to look for and how to process everything. The work you’ll do in this module is worth it, eye opening and will bring full clarity to your financial chaos.
Module 4: Bringing it All Together
This is my favorite module because the work you did in the first 3 modules really start to come together. This is where the AHA moments are! This week is low on the ‘to-do’ tasks, but critical to the full understanding and completion of the Profit First set up. This module is full of further details about the bank accounts system, helpful information for separating your business and personal finances, and awesome tools and finalizing systems to make your business finances simple and powerful.
Module 5: Advanced Strategies

How long/much time does the course take?
This course is designed for a busy business owner just like yourself. Most students report that it takes them an average of 1.5-2 hours to complete each module and lesson between watching the videos and implementation. It’s designed to require a little more active work and action steps upfront during the first 3 modules, and less action steps and simply learning time the second half. So the amount of time you need to spend on the course each week will decrease as you go!
How long does it take to get results? When should I start seeing changes?
You really should start feeling relief in your finances by week 3 and 4 after you’ve learned the process and you begin to understand your numbers. You’ll really start to feel and see progress and make drastic changes within your 3rd month of implementation. It always takes some time to get used to a new process, but by the end of your first quarter, you’ll wonder how you ever did things without this system.
How is this different from your group coaching program?

Should I do this if I’m in debt? How can I do it if I’m in debt?
Yes! You can and you should - you can’t get out of debt unless you’re profitable. Read that again - I know it sounds contradictory, but having profit is having extra money that neither your business nor you personally are relying on for success. So by taking your profit first, we can use that very intentionally to eradicate your debt, and do it systematically.
I’m new in business, I shouldn’t expect to be profitable yet, right?
Actually, this is one of the myths I hate the most. You’re new in business. You NEED to be profitable. When you’re new, it’s the perfect opportunity to set yourself up for long term success. It’s the perfect opportunity to create good habits. Setting yourself up with financial systems and foundations from the beginning is the best approach for longevity and truly building the business you want.
Why does profit matter?
Profit is important for a few reasons. One, without profit, what’s the point for your business? The main goal for any business owner should be to make more money. Profit is money.
